Hello and Welcome!

 

I am an interior designer with a lifelong love of historic houses and gardens - places that hold character, craftsmanship and tell stories through their detail and age. That passion for history and nature deeply influences my design work to create timeless interiors.  When I am not exploring these beautiful places, you will likely find me in my own kitchen garden, watching the birds and enjoying the quiet beauty of nature.  Of course for me no day feels complete without a cup (or two) of Earl Grey tea - preferably with a slice of cake. These small pleasures, along with my passion for design, history and gardens inspire me to write this blog and share the joy I find in beautiful places, historic houses and the landscapes that surround them through The Country Teacup. I hope to pass along stories, inspiration and the odd tip along the way - always with a teacup of Earl Grey on the side.
